I was having trouble with a relationship (once again hehe!), but felt like it wasn't gonna last one more day. I was ready to end it. So I started writing this riff, I enjoyed the kind of 80's rock feel, then went on to make the verse chords more grunge in 'Alice in chains; vibe, but the favourite part is the chorus, which is 'black sabbath' influenced I think. you could tell me differently, but its what I felt there in that Lynnwood flat I shared with my brother. The lyrics came fast and furiously like all my songs do. I dont bother with songs unless they just flow out!! Those are always the real ones and the keepers!! There are two great melodic guitar solo's. first one is my younger brother,'Aidan Martin' on a late 70's'Gibson les Paul custom', then the solo after last chorus, is me on my 61 re-issue 2005 Gibson SG, also using a George Dennis WAH that got stolen along with my car and a whole lot of guitars too.
lyrics
Last night let me down,
all I wanted was a piece of your soul,
under the water flow,
I want to be your world,
you can be the sun, the one that stay's,
only to blow me away!
Its everything, its everyone,
its all we do, its up to you,
to make it work, so far away,
its up to you , its up to me,
Have yourself some fun,
wish upon a stone, the living is real,
at the foot of the hill
seven years bad luck,
you held it in your hand and threw it away,
for another day
Its everything, its everyone,
its all we do, its up to you,
to make it work, so far away,
its up to you , its up to me,

Its got that 'stab you in the heart' effect when you listen to it. It might even take a few listens to get that feeling, but believe me when it hits, you'll know my meaning and thank me!! enjoy! Johnathan Martin
