Scars on my Guitar

from In my blood by Johnathan Martin

/

about

This was an interesting inspiration, and that night I just couldn't sleep as usual, but felt like something wants to get out of me. Figuratively ofcourse!
So there ham withe guitar on my lap and I keep seeing these old reel to reel movies of my life passing over the front of my acoustic guitar. Strange things, like riding a bike and then being with a girl I liked, or some crazy world war 2 footage of. the death camps. I actually started writing things down, because by this time I was questioning my sanity, but I also thought it could be a flash back from a acid trip. I hated acid, and never pursued it, and I would recommend all who read this not to take the chance. But I ended up with gem of a song, and when my brother Aidan Martin kicks in with his guitar part, over my rhythm playing, the intro just takes you somewhere good! Enjoy!

lyrics

Many hands exchanged with a smile,
and the warmth at your fingers, and sometimes blood.
But its good to know you're mine,
its good to know, you're all mine.

and I see through the scars,
motion pictures yes they're sublime,
many friends with eyes of burning light,
spreading fire...keeping it alive,
keeping it alive

Take me again,
rushing down my spine,
